Covington Landing

BDR design group developed the concept and project design for Covington Landing, a floating mixed-use development including restaurants, nightclubs, excursion boats and retail shops.

The riverboat style, inspired by the 1878 “Mistress of the Mississippi,” was chosen specifically so that kitchens, service and emergency exits could be grouped invisibly in the sidewheel area.

A magnificent interpretation of turn-of-thecentury riverboat heritage, the river saloon is the showpiece of the 262’ x 70’ floating building.
