When Triple Five and the Ghermezian family launched their vision for West Edmonton Mall, BDR Design was selected as entertainment design specialists to provide the concept and design of the unique entertainment components of the world’s largest shopping mall. From master plan redevelopment to dramatic new facilities and attractions, we helped Six Flags bring ageing park properties back to life and expand their market presence.

The entertainment components included an indoor theme park, a 400-foot lake with a submarine ride through the second largest aquarium in Canada, a 3.5-acre indoor waterpark, a PGA-inspired miniature golf course, and feature mall areas including a Parisian galleria and a re-creation of New Orleans’French Quarter
